Abby Wetsman
A New Orleans Textile Artist & Artist Teacher
As an artist and educator, I construct sensory experiences and creative opportunities for young artists, preschool through sixth grade. The design and installation of these provocations has become an art form in and of itself. My classroom becomes a symbiotic organism, an exchange of ideas and material, all being fueled by creativity. When not in the classroom, I can be found walking through City Park, enoying live local music or working in her light filled porch converted studio.
I spend my summers with young artists, 7 to 14 year olds at Country Day Creative Arts.
At the Jewish Community Day School, I combine Visual Art with Jewish Studies, STEAM and core classes for preschool through sixth grade.
